Changes to the Artistic Team: Thank You, Anna Donderer & welcome, Peter Sampel!

With the conclusion of rodeo Festival 2026, the festival’s artistic team is entering a new phase ahead of the upcoming editions. We are saying goodbye to curator and dramaturg Anna Donderer, who has played a major role in shaping the festival’s profile, and would like to thank her for her extraordinary commitment and her influential artistic work.

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Peter Sampel as rodeo’s new co-director. Based in Munich, the dramaturg has close ties to the city’s independent dance and theatre scene. Together with Antonia Beermann and Ute Gröbel, he will help shape the upcoming editions in 2028 and 2030.

We look forward to the next chapter of rodeo and to exploring new perspectives for Munich’s independent performing arts scene.
